Connect Search Console and invisit shows the Google searches your site appeared for: each query with its clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position, for the whole site or for one page. It is on every plan, Free included, and adds nothing to your site.
Connect a property
A site’s manager connects it in Settings › Google Search:
- Connect with Google. Sign in with a Google account that can read the property. It can differ from your invisit account. invisit asks for read-only access and can’t change anything in Search Console.
- Pick the property. invisit suggests the one that matches your site. An account with no verified properties has nothing to pick, so verify the site in Google Search Console first or connect an account that can read it.
Picking a property imports the 16 months Google keeps, newest day first, so recent days show up first and the rest follows. After that, invisit fetches the last few days again every night.
What you see
A Google Search card joins the Overview, under the breakdowns. Filter the dashboard by a page and the card shows that page’s queries. Other filters don’t apply to Google’s numbers.
The card isn’t shown on public dashboards.
Assistants read the same queries with the get_search_queries tool over MCP.
What to expect from Google’s numbers
- They arrive late. Google settles a day two to three days later, so the most recent days are still moving.
- Rare queries are hidden. Google leaves out queries too rare to share, so the listed queries add up to fewer clicks than the site’s total. The card says how many of the clicks it can name.
- They are Google’s count, not a visit count. A click in Search Console and a visit in invisit are measured in different places, so the two won’t match, and a query can’t be tied to a visit or to revenue.
Disconnecting
Disconnecting revokes invisit’s access at Google, stops the sync and deletes the synced rows shortly after. Connecting again imports what Google still has. Deleting the site removes them too.
If Google stops accepting the connection, because access was removed or the account lost the property, the card keeps its numbers, says they are no longer updating, and links to Settings › Google Search to connect again.
